MAUREEN NASIMIYU

Managing Partner

Ms Nasimiyu is the Founder and the Managing Partner of Nasimiyu & Company Advocates.
She holds a Bachelors of Laws (LLB) Degree from Moi University and a Post Gradu- ate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She was admitted to the Bar in 2020 and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society.
Ms Nasimiyu is a team leader with a vision and she runs one of the best litigation firms in the country. She is a voracious reader of numerous dimensions of the legal practice. Her love of legal wisdom comes in quite handy when researching and writing on legal viewpoints and she is considered one of the best legal drafters in the profession. Her core competencies stretch into constitutional law, civil litigation, conveyancing and commercial law.
Her hands-on experience originates from working in other law firms like Osundwa & Company Advocates (2019-2021), K. Mberia & Partners Advocates (2017-2018) Nyaundi Tuiyott & Co. Advocates (2014-2016) in Eldoret and Ocharo Kebira & Co. Advocates in Bungoma (2012-2014). Further, Ms Nasimiyu successfully and single-handedly ran the law of Javier Georgiadis & Sylvester LLP between the year 2021 and 2022.
From these experiences she has developed a number of essential and necessary dexterities like fluent verbal communication, attention to detail, splendid drafting, logical and analytical rationale, extensive legal research, coherent customer service, substantive knowledge on law and legal procedures, initiative, strategic alliances and teamwork.
She has been instrumental cases such as Mumias Sugar Company Insolvency Proceedings whereby the Lease granted to Sarrai Group Limited was set aside by Justice Mabeya on 14th April, 2022, Matungu Election Peti- tion whereby she successfully represented and won a Judgment in favour of Hon. Oscar Peter Nabulindo following the by-election held on 4th March, 2021. She was equally instrumental in getting Professor Wain- aina of Kenyatta University reinstated following his dismissal in 2022

MICHELLE VALENTINE ALUOCH

Partner

Ms Aluoch is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Bachelors of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
She has gained experience working with the government sector, the private sector and the nongovernmental non-profit sector. She is a self-motivated enthusiastic, social change leader with a keen interest on the promotion of the rule of law, enforcement and implementation of legislation and policies human rights law with a specific emphasis for the vulnerable and marginalized groups, constitutionalism and regional integration.
Ms. Aluoch has also worked with children for children under policy reform and advocacy where she was very instrumental in engaging policy makers and legislators to ensure policies on the rights of the Child are formu- lated, adhered to and/or implemented. She was also a key role player in the team that saw the conception and birth of the East Africa Child Rights Network to advocate for the rights of the child within the East African Region and the team that formulated the Prosecutors Guide in Handling Children within the Criminal Justice System (i.e. children in contact with the law and children in conflict with the law) for the United Nations O ce on Drugs and Crime and the O ce of the Director of Public Prosecution. Michelle has worked in firms like Onyango Ochieng & Associates Advocates and Okwach & Company Advocates where she specialized in Conveyancing Law, Family Law ,Labour & Employment Law and General Practice.

ALEX MBEKA

Associate

Mr. Mbeka holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Moi University and a Post- to the Bar in 2016 and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society.
Mbeka is a meticulous, disciplined Advocate with a proven ability to competently represent clients in wide-ranging complex areas of law and provides ready, swift and honest solutions. He enjoys excellent command in appearing before superior Courts, Magistrates’ Courts and quasi-judicial bodies, strategizing litigation cases and providing exhaustive tactical advice on litigation, drafting all pleadings, case preparation, excellent research work, planning optimum and result oriented procedures.
His principal areas of practice are Employment and Labour Dispute Litigation, Civil Litigation, Contractu- al Disputes, Insurance Law, Commercial litigation, Work Injury claims, Criminal defense, Conveyancing and Alternative Dispute Resolution

RUTH N. WAMALWA

Office Administrator

Ms Wamalwa has a paralegal diploma from the Kenya School of Law.

As an experienced paralegal specialist, she assists lawyers with a variety of legal assignments. She helps in, preparing draft documents for trials or hearings, researching cases, drafting legal standpoints and interviewing witnesses in prepa- ration for an appearance in court. She has provided invaluable services in diverse areas like family law, real estate law, corporate law, bankruptcy and other facets of the law. Further, she closely works with other lawyers, court personnel, and staff in other departments.

As a paralegal of exceptional good standing, she can be appraised as a professional who is quite keen on details, multitasking, observational skills, a good memory, clear writing ability, critical thinking, empathy and teamwork.
